Fat Reduction

It is important to understand that when we talk about Weight loss what we are really talking about is Fat loss.

If you are extremely overweight or obese, we can help you to make the positive changes in your lifestyle which will result in significant weight loss, mainly from fat loss. But the closer you come to your ideal weight, the more careful we need to be to ensure that you are not losing weight from loss of lean muscle mass or bone density, which is not healthy.

How do I know whether my weight loss is from fat or not?

It might depend on how you feel. Losing a lot of weight quickly can cause you to feel tired, weak or exhausted.

If you are severely overweight or obese, then the initial weight loss will probably be fat, particularly if you are not undertaking activity.

However as the weight comes off and you are starting to undertaking activity, there may be a period where you start to gain muscle and bone density, whilst losing fat at the same time. When this happens you will find that your actual weight loss might begin to taper somewhat but you will look and feel better, you will have more energy, and your clothes will be a much better fit.

How Do I lose the fat?

It is the carriage of excess fat that causes so many health problems.

The first thing we need to do is identify the real reasons why you put the fat on in the first place!

Through a series of webcam counseling sessions, our Strategic Interventionist will work with you to identify the underlying psychological reasons underpinning your weight problems. We will then devise strategies that address your issues and put you on track to sustainable weight loss.

Our Strategic Interventionist continues to work with you to imbed these new strategies into your conscious and subconscious so that they will become sustainable life-lasting changes.

And just in case you have a re-lapse, our Lifetime Support subscription is there to get you back on course to ensure that you never have to walk alone again.

How Do I lose fat and not muscle?

At some point you will need to undertake activity. The timing of this depends on how overweight you are. If you are seriously obese, then activity may not be appropriate in the early stages of your weight loss journey and could actually be counter-productive if commenced at the wrong time. If you decide to subscribe to The Weight Program,  you will be assigned a Strategic Intervention Counsellor who will guide you through our unique course and decide at what point you are ready to embark on the online Activity Program integrated into the system.

At first instance, what you eat determines whether, and what fat you lose. Do not make the mistake of not eating – just eat better ie Unprocessed Salads, Vegetables and Fruit rather than processed rubbish you find in the center aisles of the Supermarket.

These foods are nourishing and will help you not be hungry. Eating empty calories found in biscuits, cakes and other processed sugary foods will not satisfy your hunger but only serve to pile on more calories.

For sustainable fat loss, it is important to lead as active lifestyle as you can. Unfortunately our society is structured for convenience and a lot of us spend most of our waking hours sitting down – whether at work or at home in front of the TV. We can help you change all of these habits!
